Website design

Often the first thing I’m asked for following a branding project is the website. Every company is expected to have one, and it can affect your credibility without one.

It’s important to have a skilled web developer to help with this, however in my experience there are two other parts to this puzzle that are important to ensure the website is a success. The first being that the design of the website is in keeping with the brand. This is where I feel my involvement is important, especially if I’ve worked on building the brand up to this point as I know it so well. Secondly the marketing expertise, to ensure the online user journey is as the audience expects, and the homepage and landing pages are converting well. There are multiple areas of specialism that must come together to make a website a success, which is exactly what we do.

Websites can take a few months to plan, design and develop. We begin with a sitemap where we discuss exactly which elements need to be featured, and the journey from one piece of content to the next. Next we look at wireframing, which is a way to help us look more strategically at the flow and content of the site without being distracted by the design and visuals.

The design of the website follows, and will be presented to you for sign-off before the website is developed. We consider mobile and desktop independently as they are used quite differently.

Once the website is developed you will have the opportunity to view a staging website, which means you can see the full complete site before it is live for the world to see. We can then spend some time testing the website, and can arrange user trials if necessary as well.
