Logo Design

The logo design & identity is often the first thing you think of with a new startup or growing company. Nurtur is a branding agency in the UK near Wokingham (Berkshire) that can help you get started with your logo creation and branding journey.

Why have a logo design and what are the benefits?

A company logo acts as a signature. A symbol of validity and a way for customers to see that it’s genuine. Once they know your logo they will be able to spot it amongst others for quick recognition if they are looking to buy from you again. Having a professional looking logo can also help with first impressions, insuring you look like a serious and professional company.

However, it is important to acknowledge that the logo and visual identity does not solely make your brand, or help sell your products, or do anything for ‘brand awareness’. It’s only really useful once you have created a reputation as a stamp of genuity. Therefore the first step of branding should not be your logo as it won’t help you much until you’re already finding some success in that area.

What is a brand?

The first steps are to know, understand and establish the brand as a whole, and discover all the things you can do that can influence somebody’s opinion of your company.

A brand is, in short, anything that somebody can have a feeling for or opinion on. Anybody could have opinions on people, companies, political groups, shops, products etc. These are all brands. Therefore the act of branding is anything that can help to influence those feelings and reactions in others. Therefore not just the logo but it includes every area of the business.

This is why I tackle the entire brand journey and not just the logo. I want to ensure I’m providing something that will benefit you into the future. A logo is such a small part of the journey and isn’t going to make you any money on its own. The branding process should ideally be done together as a whole to ensure it’s cohesive. Sending out the right message to the right audience so they can start to learn your brand identity. This is how you attract the right customers, gain a loyal following and instil trust.
